Anything for stardom, at least for Veena
New Delhi: It seems that Pakistani bombshell Veena Malik is not satisfied with the amount of publicity she has received till now. The 28-year-old actress has led many jaws wide open with her latest photoshoot for upcoming Kannada remake of ‘The Dirty Picture’.
Titled ‘Silk Sakkath Maga’, the film features Veena playing the role of ‘80s south siren Silk Smitha. The latter was paid a tribute by Bollywood actress Vidya Balan in the original flick ‘The Dirty Picture’ which was declared a super-hit. The film had catapulted 35-year-old actress into the elite league and the successful saga continued.
Maybe, Malik got too much inspired from Vidya’s feat that she decided to do leave no stone unturned for the film. Add to this, she has also given up her slim body for the film. However, the explicit photoshoot has also created a furore with many sections of the society criticizing her for the raunchy photoshoot.
If that is not enough, Veena reportedly issued a statement which might sound disappointing to the Khans of tinsel town. While the leading ladies never let any opportunity slip off from their hands to work with the Khans, Veena says she does not need any Khan to survive in Bollywood.
"I love all three Khans, be it Aamir, Shah Rukh or Salman. I would love to get a chance to work with them. But I think even if Veena Malik does not work with any of them, she will still remain Veena Malik,” she was quoted saying.
During the music launch of her upcoming film ‘Zindagi 50-50’, Veena was on cloud nine as she gave a cold shoulder to everyone at the event. Although she had invited her close friend and Pakistani actress Meera, she kept on avoiding her. If she continues to throw tantrums like this at the initial phase of her career, it is tough to imagine the extent of havoc she will wreak upon reaching stardom.
