B' wood supporting SRK in his fight with Shirish
After Superstar Shah Rukh Khan allegedly punched and slapped Farah Khan's filmmaker husband Shirish Kunder at a private party thrown by Sanjay Dutt, here on Sunday night,it seems that Bollywood is taking the side of Khan.
"Shahrukh is supr rockin.. Good he gave it 2 shirish. people shud learn 2 b grateful to king khan, aftrall he has been so supportive 2 farah. [email protected] told shirish off n put him in place. srk has done so much 4 farah. they shud b grateful n not abusing srk (sic)," Ameesha Patel tweeted.
"I was present at Sanj's party & Without Any Bias I Fully Support Shah Rukh (sic)," celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani tweeted. Dutt had hosted the bash at the popular Juhu nightspot to celebrate the successful opening of Agneepath. Little did Dutt, who got rave reviews for his portrayal of the menacing Kancha Cheena in the film, anticipate such a turn of events at the party for which he had invited both SRK and Kunder. According to a source, SRK overheard Kunder making a reference to someone about RA.One and that led to the fight. Dutt rushed towards them to break up the fight. Covering his face, Kunder is said to have left the party which ended abruptly. "not supporting any slap but yes its gud shahrukh verbally put shirish in place 4 constantly abusing him,"tweeted Ameesha Patel
Farah and Kunder spoke about the incident in a statement but denied they were going to pursue the matter with police. "Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. So it saddens me to see him doing the same," Farah said in a statement. Kunder took to his Twitter account to say: "Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful. Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint." Dutt, who was also present when the incident happened denied reports that he was also involved in the fight, saying he only tried to break up the fight. "When a fight takes place so everybody who is around is blamed. Sanjay entered to stop the fight. He had no fight or anything of that sort with Shirish," Dutt's spokesperson told PTI. Once very good friends, Farah choreographed SRK in several of his films and directed him in "Main Hoon Naa" and "Om Shanti Om" but their friendship soured after she cast Akshay Kumar in "Tees Maar Khan" in 2010. Kunder is reported to have said, "Shah Rukh punched and jumped on me. And he had three bodyguards with him. I don't know what got him. I was numb with shock so I couldn't react. He kept screaming at me, 'What do you think of yourself? I'll see to it that you're out of this industry." Kunder went on to say he was totally taken aback with this kind of an attack. "
He was quoted as saying that he was not prepared for "anyone jumping at him from behind" while accusing Shah Rukh of venting his frustration without any provocation.
Shah Rukh's enmity with Kunder apparently stems from the days when he refused to do Kunder's "Joker".
Kunder, occasionally takes jibes at the actor on his twitter page, recently calling his sci-fi 'Ra.One' "a 150 cr firework fizzle".(PTI)
