Big B joins Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Mumbai: The Shenshah of Bollywood is the latest to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Amitabh Bachchan wielded a broom and swept the streets of Mumbai as a part of the Clean India campaign that had begun on October 2.
Bachchan took up the broom and cleaned the streets a few hours before going to shoot for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). He even took to Twitter, posted pictures and wrote, “Went on the streets and broomed and collected dirt to clean up the place.” The veteran actor called for everyone to be involved in the campaign.
He was nominated by Anil Ambani to be a part of the campaign. Earlier, Modi had nominated nine celebrities including Sachin Tendulkar, Shashi Tharoor, Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan to be a part of the campaign.
