Big B to restore Chaplin classic for Mumbai Film Fest

Mumbai:Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to restore The Floorwalker, a Charlie Chaplin classic for the upcoming Mumbai Film festival.

 

 

The 1916 masterpiece will be screened at the 15th edition of Mumbai Film Festival, organised by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI). The festival will be held from October 17 to 24.

 

 

“There are people who haven’t seen this kind of film and this is an attempt to restore such rare classics,” Bachchan told this newspaper during a book launch ceremony in the city.

 

 

The Bollywood icon launched Vipul Mittra’s second novel The Dream Chasers in the event. The book is a hysterical and candid novel giving insights into the life of youngsters and their dreams.

 

 

When asked about writing a book, the Big B said, “I do not have the capacity to write a book.”

 

 

He mentioned that his father late Harivansh Rai Bachachan was his favourite author.

 

 

Queried if he would be seen together in a movie with his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law, the70-year-old actor, in a lighter tone, said,” We three had lunch together. Nobody talked about it.”
