Comedian Kapil Sharma refuses to host CCL 4, miffs organisers
New Delhi: Comedian Kapil Sharma, host of the famous show Comedy Night with Kapil, left the organisers fuming after he walked out and refused to co-host the opening ceremony of the Celebrity Cricket League 4 at the last minute, leaving no-room for them to make alternate arrangements. According to sources, the reason behind Kapil's unprofessional behaviour is that the organisers failed to provide him with a vanity van.
Kapil had to arrive at the stadium at noon to rehearse with Mandira Bedi, but he reached two hours late, leaving no time for practice. Despite reaching late for the event, Kapil's team started demanding multiple facilities and changes in script too, say sources. Reports say that they were adamant on being given a vanity van.
The CCL 4 officials say that they offered the comedian an AC room but he was not happy with that and when his demands were not met, Kapil and his team walked out of the event.
Rumour is that Kapil got worried after his act, thinking this would affect his equation with Salman Khan and Sohail Khan, co-owner of Mumbai Heroes. Sharma's team apparently tried contacting the Khans but they were reportedly asked to stay out of it.
