Copyright woes for 'Dabangg 2' song
Just a few days before its release, Salman Khan's 'Dabangg 2' is making headlines as one of its song, 'Pandeyjee Seeti Bajaye', has got into copyright troubles.
According to reports, lyricist-producer Shailendra's granddaughter Priyannkka Shaily Shailendra has sent a legal notice to film's producer-director Arbaaz Khan. Priyannkka says that the 'Dabangg 2' song is inspired by 1966 film, 'Teesri Kasam's' track, 'Chalat Musafir', composed by Shankar-Jaikishen.
An inside source says that, music composer of 'Dabangg 2', Sajid-Wajid have claimed that the tune is a folk tune and hence, they didn't buy the rights. They further maintained that their lawyer has replied to the legal notice.
Now, it's upto court to take the final decision.
