Mumbai: Television actress Dolly Bindra and controversy queen Rakhi Sawant have come out to extend their support to victim of physical assault Sofia Hayat, who is currently in Bigg Boss 7. Sofia had alleged that her co-contestant Armaan Kohli had assaulted her during their stay in the reality show.
Dolly Bindra, who was seen in the fourth season of Bigg Boss, said in the past Armaan had assaulted her and her husband when she was holidaying in Mauritius.
"In 2008, I had registered a complaint against Armaan in Mauritius. Me, my husband and Moonmoon (reportedly Armaan's ex-girlfriend) were having dinner when Armaan came and hit Moonmoon on her chest, then punched my husband and then punched me very hard. However, he had apologised," said Dolly.
Dolly added: "Treating women so badly on national television is not right. I am not only saying this for Sofia, but also for everyone."
Rakhi Sawant too voiced a similar view.
"This is first season of Bigg Boss where so much fight is happening. It is written in the Bigg Boss contract also that if anyone indulges in physical violence then he will be eliminated from the show. But nothing seems to be bothering the people in this season. I think physical abuse has taken place in Bigg Boss house and I support Sofia Hayat completely," said Sawant.
She further expressed her shock on Armaan getting bail so easily.
"I am shocked that Armaan has been granted bail within a night. This is wrong. Bigg Boss is not scripted, but sometimes when everything is going normal in the show, then TRPs go down and to cope up with that directors purposely give tasks that can create fights among contestants and get TRPs soaring," added Rakhi.
