Regional cinema has lately been gaining popularity in India and audiences across the country are opening their minds to movies from various parts of the country. The success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is a great example of a regional movie being liked by the masses. Film-making is a team effort, it isn't really about one person. It all starts from scripting. If the content is of good quality, then mainstream cinema is encouraged to invest more. Many Hindi film-makers and actors are associating with regional cinema. Regional film-makers are also wanting to release their movies in multiple languages and promote them in new markets and various film festivals.
