Bollywood singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya, who was actively involved in mentoring and judging reality shows, says mushrooming of these shows have led many good singers to lose their identity.

The 38-year-old music composer also says that these shows have given a lot of talented artists to the industry.

"Reality shows give good platform to young talent and give plenty of options to the Hindi film industry. But the singers are losing their identity. Earlier there were very few singers in the Bollywood but everyone had an identity of his/her own," he said during a concert here.

Reshammiya got his first big break came through superstar Salman Khan. Khan gave Reshammiya the chance to be a music director for "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya" in 1998.
