Los Angeles: Actor Hugh Jackman will host the 68th annual Tony Awards, marking his fourth time as emcee of Broadway's biggest ceremony.

The 45 year-old Tony-winning actor will front 2014 Tony Awards, which is slated to take place on June 8, at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, reported Variety.

The actor announced the news via a video uploaded on his Instagram account.

In the video Jackman said, "I couldn't wait another minute. I wanted you to be the first to know. This year, I am going to be hosting the Tony Awards. See you there!," he said.

Jackman also took to Twitter to post,"Couldn't wait another minute... The Tony Awards. 4th Time."

The 'X Men' star previously hosted the Tonys for three consecutive years from 2003-05, winning an Emmy for leading the 2004 ceremony and receiving an Emmy nomination for his 2005 effort.

Jackman won the 2004 best actor in a musical Tony for 'The Boy From Oz', and most recently starred in the 2011 song-and-dance showcase,'Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway'.

By taking the helm of the theatre award ceremony for the fourth time, he now matches Neil Patrick Harris, who reached his fourth turn as The Tony award host, last year. PTI
