It is important for an actress to be seen: Amrita Puri
Amrita Puri, who made her mark in Aisha as the behenji 'Shefali Thakur' is all set for her next flick 'Kai Po Che'. Amrita believes that it is important for an actor to be seen and remain in limelight. Amrita was earlier seen in Aisha (2010) and Blood Money (2012).
She said "I have been getting offers but nothing that excited me.It is important for an actress to be seen and doing films. But then you can't just do films for the heck of it". Amrita further added "I also in between do theatre, do plays. So, in a way I am busy with work,". Amrita hails from a business family and confesses that it is not easy an outsider to survive in the industry.
She said, "The journey is not easy for an outsider. Its tough for sure to be in this industry and make a mark,". Being an outsider, Amrita doesn't hesitate to meet directors for new ventures.
"I do meet directors for work. I do approach them. I wish to work with Anurag Kashyap, Anurag Basu, Vikramaditya Motwane, Dibarkar Banerjee, Nagesh Kukonoor. I have met them and shown my interest to work with them," she said.
The actress seemed quite enthusiatic about her role in her upcoming movie, Kai Po Che, which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's "The Three Mistakes of my Life".
"I really like my role a lot. I play Vidya.. She is Sushant's sister and Rajkumar's love interest. She is fiesty..Full of masti," she said.
