'Krishna Aur Kans' to release in four languages
"Krishna Aur Kans", the 3D animated film, is all set to release in four different languages on August 3. The film, which will be produced in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English, is based on the timeless tale of Lord Krishna and has a voice cast of Om Puri as Kans, Juhi Chawla as Mother Yashoda and Prachi Save as Krishna.
The Hindi language movie will release in all major Hindi speaking territories, the Tamil movie titled "Gokulathil Kannan" will release in Tamil Nadu, the Telugu movie will be called as "Chinni Krishna" and the English version will be released in Kerela as "Krishna Aur Kans".
"Keeping in mind the popularity of Lord Krishna across the country and the reach of his followers across the length and breadth of India, the producers and distributors thought it best to produce this movie in different languages to cater to the wide audience mix," the statement from the film reads.
Made under the banner of Reliance Animation, a subsidy of Reliance Entertainment, the film will release in over 350 screens across the country just one week ahead of Janmashtami. PTI
