Madras Cafe screening held
New Delhi: Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla and his wife Anurradha Prasad, Editor-in-Chief of News24, organised a special screening of director Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming political thriller, Madras Cafe on Wednesday night at Mahadev Road in the city.
The screening of the film, which is constantly facing protest from different corners of the country, was attended by Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, Congress leaders Sanjay Nirupam, Jitin Prasada and R. P. N. Singh, Press Council of India Chairman Markandey Katju, Ajit Anjum, Managing Editor of News 24, and many other senior journalists.
Everyone praised Madras Cafe and amid protest in Mumbai against the film, they said there is nothing in the film to protest about.
Mumbai: Another special screening of the film was hosted by film’s starcast - John Abraham and NargisFakhri at a Juhu theatre in suburban Mumbai on Wednesday night.John’s B-Town buddies - Actor Abhishek Bachchan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam - arrived to watch the film.
While Uday Chopra, Nargis’s ‘just friend’ and only B-Town buddy was there to support the actress.
