New Delhi: Vidyut Jamwal, the young actor who recently lost his cool when a journalist asked him about TV actress Mona Singh, his alleged girlfriend’s MMS clip, had an exclusive chat with E24. The trailer of his upcoming film, Commando-The one man army, are getting rave reviews and the actor is overjoyed with the public reaction.
"I’m receiving mails and letters from real army men and real commandos stating that they have liked my work. This makes me feel proud of myself. I am glad that I was able to do justice to my character in the film," he said.
Meanwhile, Commando’s producer Vipul Shah, who accompanied the actor at E24 studio, said, "He is this one man who dances like a dancer, fights like a fighter and acts like an actor. I’m saying this because many action heroes are not able to dance well due to lack of flexibility, something which Vidyut doesn’t have an issue with."
Vipul, who has directed and produced some of the biggest hits of Bollywood such as Waqt, Singh is King and Namaste London, said that Vidyut was always his first choice for the film. The actor’s hard work and dedication in a negative role in Force impressed him so much that he planned to cast him in his next.
Vipul promises to offer an action-packed family entertainer and said that his film has an original story to tell.
So, is Vidyut competing with Bollywood’s action legends? Vipul said, "We are not competing with timeless heroes. We are only trying to give our country another action hero."
While the actor was quite candid about almost everything, he chose not to talk about hie personal life and relationship.
Commando releases on April 12 and it also features Pooja Chopra, who was selected for the role after beating 100 girls in the audition.
