"Not averse to join active politics again"
Actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna today expressed his interest in contesting the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
"I am not averse to join active politics again...Given chance, I would contest Gurdaspur seat in 2014," he told reporters here.
Khanna had won the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency three times in a row on BJP ticket. However, he lost out the seat in 2009 Lok Sabha polls to Congress' Partap Singh Bajwa. Khanna, who was union culture and tourism minister before being moved to External Affairs ministry as MoS during the NDA regime in 2002, said the UPA government has "failed to control inflation". PTI
