Ranbir wants Kat to be his Madhubala
New Delhi: Tinsel Town is abuzz with Ranbir-Katrina's rumoured affair. Latest on the block is that the actor is helping Kat in getting the role of a leading lady, Madhubala in his upcoming biopic based on legendary singer Kishore Kumar.
If gossip turns out to be true, it would be interesting to see the sizzling chemistry between the rumoured partners on silver screen. Currently, the hunt for the Madhubala is on.
"I am hunting for Madhubala but it is too early to talk about it. Casting happens two to three months before we start shooting. The film is in its initial stage and would probably release next year," said Anurag Basu, who is directing the film. Anurag is also writing the script for the film
Born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly, Kishore Kumar was a popular playback singer and crooned in various languages, including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya, apart from acting in a number of movies.
Being the youngest of four siblings, with elder brothers like Ashok Kumar and Anoop Kumar, Kishore was more interested in becoming a singer. He was not keen on acting. But, Ashok Kumar wanted him to be an actor like himself.
For Anurag Basu, penning the story of the film is not an easy task, considering that Kishore Kumar was a legend. "I have started writing it. It is a very tough job to write this script as the whole world will be looking at my work. I should be happy and sure of this film before I jump into shooting it," he said.
