Rekha inspires Kangana's look in 'Shootout At Wadala'
Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranuat, who will be playing a gangster's girlfriend in 'Shootout at Wadala', says she drew inspiration from Bollywood diva Rekha and the late Smita Patil for the 70s look in the film.
Kangana plays Vidya Joshi, girlfriend of gangster Manya Surve, played by John Abraham. "I play a Maharashtrian girl. As the film is set in 70s and early 80s, my look is also pretty much similar to that period. We have kept the look as authentic as we could," Kangana told reporters here at the unveiling of the first look of 'Shootout At Wadala'.
"For my look I took inspiration from Smita Patil and Rekhaji. Fashion is a factor in the film but it is not over the top," she said. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Mahesh Manjrekar and Ronit Roy.
