Well-known actress Rituparna Sengupta recently held a special screening of her Bengali film, 'Muktodhara' for Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, the film is a true story based on the life of prisoners of a correctional home and takes on the subject of reforming convicts.

The President watched the film with his entire family and few special invited guests. He not only praised the film, but also said that, with changing time, films which contribute in improving people's life, entertain them and give out a message, should be made.

Film's producer Bachchu Biswas said, "The film is based on the real-life incident which happened in West Bengal jail and it teaches people how they can make their life better under any circumstances."

Rituparna, who has worked in Bollywood films like, Chandan Arora's 'Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh' and Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji', plays the female lead in the film.

"In real-life as well, I consider myself to be exactly like my on-screen character." adds Rituparna.
