Salman fires back at Owaisi, defends kite flying with Modi
ENI Bureau Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan has come in for criticism by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi for enjoying a kite flying session with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi recently. Owaisi seems to be unhappy with Salman's growing fondness with Modi and has urged his supporters not to watch his latest release 'Jai Ho'. The Dabangg Khan reacted strongly to Owaisi's call and defended his bonding with Modi saying, "What can I say to that, if as a Muslim I have gone there to see that my Muslims brothers are doing well, I don't think there is anything wrong. I am half Hindu and half Muslim. So, I have closeness to both the communities. My mother is Hindu, my father is Muslim and there is nothing else, I would want to have them together. "If that is a crime or to promote my film by flying Jai Ho kites and to spread a positive message is a crime, then I think those followers should think twice and listen to him and not go and see such a positive film with so much of goodness in it," he said.
