Sanjay Dutt gets 30-days parole extension
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's parole has finally been extended by 30-days.
Earlier, the actor had filed a parole extension request on the grounds of his wife Manyata's ill health.
Dutt has been out on parole since December 21 and was further granted an extension of 30-days.
According to Yerawada jail sources, Manyata is suffering from Ascitic Fluid and Pleural (Therapeutic) Tapping under GA.
Ascitic Fluid and Pleural Fluid are terms used to describe accumulation of fluid in the stomach and lungs respectively.
Dutt, who had surrendered in May after the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his conviction in the 1993 serial blasts case for illegal possession of weapons, is serving the remaining 42 months of his five-year sentence. He has already served 18 months of the sentence.
