Sanjay Dutt moves SC, seeks more time to surrender
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, whose conviction was recently upheld by the Supreme Court, has moved the apex court and sought more time to surrender.
The apex court awarded five-year term to the actor for possessing illegal arms and asked him to surrender on April 18 to serve the jail sentence.
Earlier, Sanjay Dutt had said that he will not apply for pardon and will surrender within the time given by the apex court. "The honourable Supreme Court has given me time to surrender and I will surrender in that time," he had said.
