Sanjay Dutt seeks parole extension of 30 days
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was out on a parole for 30 days due to his wife Manyata's illness, has applied for an extension by another 30 days.
Dutt has been out on parole since December 21 and was further granted an extension of 30-days.
According to Yerawada jail sources, Manyata is suffering from Ascitic Fluid and Pleural (Therapeutic) Tapping under GA. Ascitic Fluid and Pleural Fluid are terms used to describe accumulation of fluid in stomach and lungs respectively.
Dutt, who had surrendered in May after the Supreme Court’s confirmation of his conviction in the 1993 serial blasts case for illegal possession of weapons, is serving the remaining 42 months of his five-year sentence. He has already served 18 months of the sentence.
