"Sherlock Holmes 2" completes 100 days in cinemas
Robert Downey Jr starrer "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," the follow-up to the hit 2010 film "Sherlock Holmes," has completed 100 days in cinemas in India.
The sequel saw Downey Jr reprise his role as the world's most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as his formidable colleague, Dr Watson. The film, which was released in 115 screens on 29th December 2011, had a strong opening weekend here.
"The film's successful box office proves the appeal of Sherlock Holmes, especially in the hands of Guy Ritchie and his amazing cast, led by Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. The franchise has clearly resonated with the Indian audience," said Denzil Dias, Deputy Managing Director-Theatrical, Warner Bros Pictures India. The studio will release 'The Dark Knight Rises' and 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' next. PTI
