Short films by Tumbhi to be screened at IFFLA

Two short films by online portal Tumbhi, titled 'Shor' and 'Sujata' will be showcased at the 10th Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles. Tumbhi, whose operational team consist of film producer L C Singh, director-writer Anurag Kashyap is a talent showcase platform.




The Festival will be held at the ArcLight Hollywood in Los Angeles from April 10-15. "We are extremely pleased with this accomplishment. We launched Tumbhi with an aim to discover emerging artists and creative talent and provide them opportunities for recognition, collaboration and commerce.




The short films were made under the mentorship of Tumbhi advisor and ace film director, Anurag Kashyap and now the films are being appreciated worldwide," said Robin Rastogi, Head of Operations at Tumbhi.




'Shor', directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, is a film based on a couple from Banaras, who is consumed by its pursuit to survive in the seedy ghettos of Mumbai city. Directed by Shlok Sharma 'Sujata' is a 10-minute short film about the protagonist, who after years of running and failing to escape, takes matters into her own hands when her childhood tormentor hunts her down.
