Ticket prices of Dhoom 3 at par with Chennai Express: Aamir Khan
Abhilasha Singh for ENI Mumbai: Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 is all set to hit theatres on Friday and there are reports doing the rounds that the rates of the tickets will be hiked. To put all rumours to rest, the lead actor Aamir Khan has addressed a Press conference in Mumbai on Thursday saying that the prices of tickets are at par with Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express.
"There is no truth in the reports of hiked ticket prices of Dhoom 3. They are at par with Chennai Express. The only difference is that Dhoom 3 is the first Indian film to be released in IMAX. There are four or five IMAX theatres in India. Apart from those four or five screens, where tickets are priced at Rs 900, in other theatres prices are the same as other films. I don't know why such reports are coming out," clarified the 48-year-old actor.
He added: "It might be possible that someone is trying to mislead people because Yash Raj has cleared a couple of times that the ticket prices have not been hiked. People have bought the tickets in advance. So they know at what prices they have bought the tickets. I hope the miscommunication ends.”
When quizzed on his take regarding reports that the story of the film is already leaked on internet, Mr. Perfectionist said: "Interesting! Will tell Aditya (producer of Dhoom 3)."
Aamir even refused to comment when asked about his plans of organising a special screening for Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. "I will tell you later," he replied.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Dhoom 3 also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra in the lead roles.
