Yash Chopra made Hindi films popular overseas: Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan

Paying tributes to the late film-maker Yash Chopra, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said that the veteran director played an important role in making Hindi films globally popular.

Chopra (80) passed away yesterday evening.

His films were entertaining, a mixture of sensitivity, emotions and action, Chavan said in his condolence message yesterday evening.

Chopra was also an industry leader who took up the issues concerning Bollywood with the government, the Chief Minister added. PTI
